«Regarding the anime adaptation of «Dahlia in Bloom: Crafting a Fresh Start with Magical Tools,» I am Yuichiro Higashide, who was in charge of the series composition and some of the scripts. Personally, I feel extremely honored as the original work I was reading is now being adapted into an anime. The day after receiving an email asking, ‘Would you like to participate in the anime adaptation?’ I promptly replied with a draft for the series composition, saying, ‘How about something like this? Oh, and count me in.’ It’s a fond memory, although I had to reconsider it later due to packing in too many things I wanted to do. I hope that Daria’s charming magical tools, the quirky feeling that comes with making them, and her relationship with Wolff will shine even more attractively as they come to life in the anime. Now, let’s have a glass of wine and give it our all tomorrow!»

«On the slope heading to the dubbing for the first episode, my emotions were mixed with both anticipation and anxiety. It was the excitement of feeling accomplished in composing! As the screening began in the dubbing studio, I felt a nervous tension with each scene, but as I witnessed the impeccable song selection by the sound director, Mr. Nagasaki, and the remarkable skills of the sound staff, my happiness grew. The concept for this episode was to focus on Celtic music, aiming for compositions with a warm and gentle feeling. I hope that fans will enjoy both the story and the music, as they listen to such tunes.»

This time, I was involved in my first anime of the «reincarnation» and «isekai» genre with «Dahlia in Bloom: Crafting a Fresh Start with Magical Tools.»
When constructing a story with a worldview that’s a bit different from reality, it’s certainly challenging to visualize it. But representing «sound» concretely is also quite difficult.
While it’s easy to give fictional creatures like dragons or goblins appropriate sounds, when it comes to depicting everyday life, compromising on realism could ruin everything.
So, I asked Amagishi-sensei various questions about it, and Sensei gave clear answers to all of them, which was extremely helpful. Everything related to daily life, flora and fauna, seasons, and climate in Dahlia‘s world exists firmly in Amagishi-sensei’s mind. I’m glad to be able to convey that to viewers. Please feel the world along with Dahlia.

I’m Nako Misaki who make the opening theme of «Dahlia in Bloom: Crafting a Fresh Start with Magical Tools.» I’ve been wondering how the magical world, like a dream where magic exists, appears to Dahlia… I’ve been thinking while immersing myself in the work. But in reality, it’s not just about glittering; not everything goes smoothly. Despite that, what remains impressive is how she faces forward and moves ahead. Through the opening theme «Chiisana Tsubomi (Tiny buds in direct translation),» I’d be happy if I could send encouragement not only to Dahlia but also to everyone who loves the work. I hope it can accompany the blossoming story.
