Nihon Falcom ha anunciado durante la Nintendo Direct: Partner Showcase del martes un remake del aclamado The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky, tentativamente titulado The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky the 1st, que llegará en 2025. Un breve clip del remake se mostró durante el evento, con más detalles disponibles en el canal japonés de YouTube de Nintendo a partir del minuto 24:26.
Originalmente lanzado en Japón en 2004 para PC, The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky fue posteriormente adaptado para PlayStation Portable, PlayStation 3 y PlayStation Vita. La versión para PlayStation Portable fue localizada y lanzada en 2011 por XSEED Games. La popularidad del juego llevó a la creación del anime The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky (Eiyū Densetsu: Sora no Kiseki) en 2011.
Además del remake, NIS America planea lanzar The Legend of Heroes: Trails Through Daybreak II (The Legend of Heroes: Kuro no Kiseki II -CRIMSON SiN-) para Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5 y PC a través de Steam, Epic Games Store y GOG a principios de 2025. Este título fue lanzado en Japón para PlayStation 4 y PlayStation 5 en septiembre de 2022, y para Switch bajo el título The Legend of Heroes: Kuro no Kiseki II el 25 de julio.
NIS America también lanzó The Legend of Heroes: Trails Through Daybreak (The Legend of Heroes: Kuro no Kiseki) en inglés el 5 de julio para Switch, PS5, PS4 y PC a través de Steam, habiendo debutado para PS4 en septiembre de 2021.
