Entrevista con ARCANA PROJECT – Multianime (México)
“Eureka” es una canción que expresa la idea de avanzar a pesar de las dudas personales. ¿Puedes contarnos sobre la inspiración detrás de esta canción y cómo se relaciona con tus propias experiencias?
La canción “Eureka” es para mí una expresión de las interacciones complicadas con personas cercanas, pero que aún así pueden entenderse y reír juntas. Después de cuatro años con el grupo, la relación con los miembros se ha vuelto irremplazable, y es esa experiencia la que me permite cantar la canción “Eureka” ahora.
La canción “Eureka” fue escrita, compuesta y arreglada por Masato Nakayama, quien también trabaja en la música de fondo para el anime. ¿Cómo fue colaborar con él en esta canción y qué aportó a la misma?
He trabajado con Masato Nakayama varias veces, pero esta fue la primera vez que dirigió una sesión de grabación para mí. Fue una experiencia fantástica discutir sobre la visión que ambos teníamos para la canción y cómo incorporar esa visión.
Esta canción será utilizada como el tema de cierre para el anime “SYNDUALITY Noir”. ¿Cómo te sentiste al enterarte de que tu música sería parte de un anime y qué crees que aporta tu canción a la serie?
Cantar canciones de anime es un sueño que quiero seguir cumpliendo a lo largo de mi vida, así que estoy muy feliz de hacerlo nuevamente. Cada vez que la canción “Eureka” suena al final, siento la fuerza de los personajes y cómo viven sus vidas confirmando sus lazos, a pesar de tener desacuerdos de vez en cuando.
El video musical de “Eureka” incluirá material detrás de escena de su creación. ¿Puedes compartir algunos detalles interesantes sobre la realización del video musical y qué pueden esperar los fanáticos al verlo?
Me encanta cómo el video musical de “Eureka” se asemeja a las ruinas donde Kanata encontró a Noir en el primer episodio de “SYNDUALITY Noir”. La escena donde los miembros despiertan en lugares diferentes y se reúnen en un lugar fue filmada de manera hermosa.
ARCANA PROJECT ha lanzado varios sencillos y trabajado en música para anime. ¿Cómo describirías la evolución de tu estilo musical a lo largo de tu carrera y quiénes son tus influencias musicales?
Habiendo estado activa durante diez años, he tenido muchas experiencias musicales. El encuentro con Kayoko Kusano, quien ha escrito muchas canciones para ARCANA PROJECT, fue significativo para mí. Kayoko Kusano me enseñó que hay canciones de esperanza que podemos cantar porque estamos en la desesperación, y este es uno de los estilos que aprecio.
Además de la música, también anunciaste un próximo concierto en solitario en el Tokyo Kinema Club. ¿Qué nos puedes contar sobre ese concierto y qué pueden esperar los fanáticos que asistan?
Tokyo Kinema Club tiene una atmósfera muy retro, así que estuvimos conscientes de ofrecer una experiencia musical hermosa. Incluimos un violín en la actuación en vivo, reproducimos voces grabadas para profundizar en la historia en vivo y realizamos muchas otras innovaciones para mostrar una actuación en vivo única de ARCANA PROJECT.
Por último, ¿tienes algún plan o proyecto futuro que te gustaría compartir con tus seguidores y el público en general?
Después de este concierto en solitario, tengo un fuerte deseo de hacer un concierto con orquesta. A través de la música de ARCANA PROJECT, haré esfuerzos para adoptar una variedad de enfoques musicales y seguir experimentando con la música en mi propia vida.

DEARSTAGE is the entertainment agency to which “Denpagumi.inc” and “Niji no Conquistador” belong, while Lantis is a music label specializing in anime songs. The five members of this group are Usa Sakurano, Hana Hanamiya, Shion Aida, Aozora Sorano, and Hikaru Amano. With a worldview based on tarot cards as its motif, the group expresses various genres of music with each member’s unique vocals and performance.

1. “Eureka” is a song that expresses the idea of moving forward despite personal doubts. Can you tell us about the inspiration behind this song and how it relates to your own experiences?
1.「ユリイカ」は、個人的な疑念にもかかわらず前進するという考えを表現した曲です。この曲のインスピレーションの源と、あなた自身の経験との関係について教えてください。
私の考える「ユリイカ」という楽曲は
身近な存在との心のすれ違い、それでもわかり合って笑い合えるような関係性を歌う楽曲だと感じ表現しています。
このグループになってから4年目になりましたが、同じ時間を共有して行くにつれてメンバーとの関係性はかけがえのないものとなっています。その経験があるからこそユリイカという曲を今歌えていると思います。
Usa Sakurano: I think of the song “Eureka” as a song about a relationship between people who are close to each other. It is a song about the complicated relationship between people who are close to us and our hearts, but who can still understand each other and laugh at each other. It has been four years since we started this group, and as we have shared the same time together, the relationship with the members has become irreplaceable. It is because of this experience that I am able to sing the song “Eureka” now.
2. The song “Eureka” is written, composed, and arranged by Masato Nakayama, who also works on the background music for the anime. What was it like collaborating with him on this song, and what did he bring to the song?
2.「ユリイカ」の作詞・作曲・編曲は、アニメのBGMも担当している中山真斗さんです。彼とのコラボレーションはどのようなものでしたか？
中山真斗さんとは何回かご一緒させていただいてますが、レコーディングでディレクションしていただくのは初めてでした。
お互いがどのようなビジョンを持って歌に落とし込むかをたくさん話し合って作れたことがすごく自分の中で良い経験になりました
Usa Sakurano: I have worked with Masato Nakayama several times, but this was the first time he directed a recording session for me. It was a great experience for me to be able to talk a lot about what kind of vision we both had for the song and how to incorporate that vision into the song.
3. This song will be used as the ending theme for the anime “SYNDUALITY Noir.” How did you feel when you learned that your music would be part of an anime, and what do you think your song brings to the series?
3. この曲はアニメ『SYNDUALITY Noir』のエンディングテーマとなりましたね。あなたの楽曲がアニメの一部になると知ったとき、どのように感じましたか？また、あなたの楽曲がこのアニメシリーズにもたらすものは何だと思いますか？
アニメソングを歌うことは私が生涯叶え続けたい夢なので今回も本当に嬉しいです。
「ユリイカ」という楽曲は作品のエンディングテーマとして流れるたびに
作中の人と人、人とメイガス、メイガスとメイガスのすれ違いながらも絆を確かめ合い生きていく強さを感じます。
戦闘シーンの多い作品なのでエンディングで安らぎを与えるという意味でも素敵な役割をいただけたと思っています。
Usa Sakurano: Singing anime songs is a dream that I want to continue to fulfill throughout my life, so I am very happy to be able to do it again. Every time the song “Eureka” is played at the ending, I feel the strength of all the characters and how they live their lives by confirming their bonds with each other even though they may have disagreements from time to time. This anime has a lot of battle scenes so being able to sing a peaceful song at the end feels very good.
4. The music video for “Eureka” will include behind-the-scenes material from its creation. Can you share some interesting details about the making of the music video, and what can fans expect when watching it?

メンバーが別々のところで目覚め一つのところに集まるシーンを美しく撮っていただきました。
Usa Sakurano: I love how the music video for “Eureka” resembles the ruins where Kanata found Noir in the first episode of “SYNDUALITY Noir”. The scene where the members wake up in different places and gather in one place was beautifully shot.
5. ARCANA PROJECT has released several singles and worked on music for anime. How would you describe the evolution of your musical style throughout your career, and who are your musical influences?
5. ARCANA PROJECTはいくつかのシングルをリリースし、アニメの音楽も手がけています。あなたのキャリアを通しての音楽スタイルの変遷と、影響を受けた音楽家を教えてください。
私は今年で活動を初めて10年経つので、いろんな経験をさせていただく中で、たくさんの音楽との出会いと学びがありました。
中でもARCANA PROJECTで多く楽曲を書いてくださっている草野華余子さんとの出会いは私にとって衝撃的なものです。
草野華余子さんから、絶望にいるからこそ歌える希望の歌があるんだと教えていただき、私の中で大切にしているスタイルの一つです。
Usa Sakurano: I have been active for 10 years this year, so I have encountered and learned a lot of music through my various experiences. Among them, the encounter with Ms. Kayoko Kusano, who has written many songs for the ARCANA PROJECT, is one of the most meaningful for me. Kayoko Kusano taught me that there are songs of hope that we can sing because we are in despair, and this is one of the styles that I cherish.
6. In addition to the music, you also announced an upcoming solo concert at Tokyo Kinema Club. What can you tell us about that concert, and what can fans who attend expect?
6. 音楽だけでなく、東京キネマ倶楽部での単独ライブも無事に終了しましたね。感想があれば教えてください。
東京キネマ倶楽部はとてもレトロな雰囲気のある会場なので、美しい音楽体験を届けることを意識しました。バイオリンを迎えてのライブパフォーマンス、録音したボイスを流しライブストーリーをより深めたりと、多くの工夫をしてARCANA PROJECTらしいライブをまた示すことができたと感じています。
Usa Sakurano: Tokyo Kinema Club is a venue with a very retro atmosphere, so we were conscious of delivering a beautiful musical experience. We welcomed a violin to the live performance, played recorded voices to deepen the live story, and made many other innovations to once again show a live performance that is unique to ARCANA PROJECT.
7. Lastly, do you have any future plans or projects you’d like to share with your followers and the general audience?
7. 最後に、ファンのみなまさと共有したい今後の計画やプロジェクトがあれば教えてください。
今回のワンマンライブでバイオリンの生演奏と重ねて届けたことでオーケストラコンサートをやりたいという気持ちが強く湧いてきました。
ARCANA PROJECTの楽曲を通して様々な音楽のアプローチや自分の中でも新しい音楽体験を重ねていけるよう努力していきます。
Usa Sakurano: The fact that we performed this concert overlaid with a live violin performance has given me a strong desire to do an orchestral concert. Through the music of ARCANA PROJECT, I will make efforts to take a variety of musical approaches and to continue to experience new music in my own life.
